Scaryfun Halloween cuppacakes.

Want to keep your kiddos busy for an hour or two? Seriously – no bickering, no whining, and lots of laughing and concentrating. Go make these fun and tasty Halloween cuppacakes. There will be plenty of treats to share with a neighbor, the playdates, or a teacher you’re trying to butter up to! KIDDING! There’s no sharing cuppacakes!

Here’s what we’re aiming for:

I bought the zombie toppers  and jack o’lantern pieces from Target. Oh, and the licorice whips. I had frosting and cake mix at home – you never know when you’ll have a cupcake baking emergency. Am I right? Yes, I am. So for less than $10, even with ridic-priced baked goods accessories, we had a fun afternoon.

First, the girls mixed the cuppacakes (Bee with a blender=no pics with a pricy iPhone. Can you say splatter?), then after an excrutiatingly long wait for them to cool off, I pre-frosted them a la like this:

After Gracie spun the spiders in chocolate jimmies to give them a furry feel, I turned the cuppacakes over for decorating. I divided the supplies and let them do whatever they wanted. But they still colored within the lines.

Yumm! They are so cute. And a few hours of no fighting. You can’t beat that. Now, go make Burgh Baby’s Autumn Corn. So yummy!
