Tales From Vacationland: Spoiled forever.

This is one of my favorite vignettes from vacation. We met up – as always – at Funspot, the biggest indoor arcade in the country. One of the girls’ favorite rides there are the kiddie bumper cars. It’s always fun to watch them first learn to drive the cars around, not really doing anything. Then they learn to “bump” each other (and usually get stuck). Then they learn to hit each other on purpose. My favorite is when they hit another kid who is stuck in the driving around phase and the kid is all, WTH?! Funtimes.

But this year – this year they were ready for the real thing. Grown-up bumper cars. Oh yeah! For five bucks each, we got the run of the whole place. I think the girls heads almost flew off their bodies umpteen times because with our family, it’s no-mercy bumper cars, n’at.

The kid running the place let us take double turns and no wonder – with as loud as we were screaming and laughing, we generated a lotttttt of business for them. Everyone started streaming in to see what the heck was going on with all that noise. (I may be little, but I am loud. Ahem.) I thought it was hilarious the way first Rhi and Joe, and then Kim and Joe fought over taking a little one with them. Pffft. You totally go faster – and therefore hit harder – when you’re riding solo. Suckah!

The girls? Are totally spoiled forever. I better start saving now: revenge will be theirs next year. And who am I to say no to that much shrieking laughter?

Awesome! It will be so much fun when they can drive on their own.

My favorite part about this favorite part was when i went with Gracie she insisted that we secretly plot who we would go after before it started. and then with bee she would cover her eyes as we sped towards someone (usually you cause of course it was always “lets get mommy!”) she would put her hands down real quick and scream & laugh =0]

ALSO! on the kiddie bumper cars Bee was NOT into the whole bumping part, she was into trying to be the best driver. but of course gracie would bump her and at one point she said “gwacie stooooop! don’t you know how to drive?! [rolls eyes]” to which gracie replied “they’re called BUMPER cars!” lmao =0D
