Quote of the Day

The girls and I were driving home from daycare tonight and we were all in rather silly moods. I think Bee might have won the silly contest, though.

Bee: I have a step-mom, now!
Me, thinking about how I knew that, and I’m happy, but I didn’t really want to hear it with such enthusiasm. Not the first night I had my girls back. What I said was, simply: I know.
Bee: Isn’t dat silly, Mom? We was all at the church and A. was there and Daddy was there and he married her by accident!

I’m glad A. is as nice as she is, and I don’t begrudge anyone for moving on, but you know what? I really needed that giggle to put this weekend behind me.

I hate when that happens. I randomly show up at a church and walk out all married and stuff.

I do hate the accidental marriage though. Very hard to explain sometimes.

Glad your girl could make you laugh and make you feel better, even though it was “an accident!”
